A little message of hope
Hi friends, today I have been battling with my inability to control the outcome for my son JJ. I think since my husband is now invested in JJ's future, I'm right back to trying to get things to work according to MY plan. Back to step one and WHY? I guess my faith was low this AM. So I am at work and go on my Facebook page, which is filled with people's shared posts. This one is what gave me my hope back today.
Thought I would share with everyone as it was shared with me through social media.
"If you are currently in a storm, God is saying, “Rise above it. Quit fighting. Quit trying to change things that only I can change.Trust in Me."
Okay, letting go and letting God. All will be well on HIS time table.

Yep, those "God Shots" really comeat the most opportune moments!!!!
Maybe, change YOUR PLAN to what you can do for you. That takes JJ out of the equation.
Remember, we are walking with you.

Been thinking the same stuff today too re: step one.

a good thing to remember is the most healthy & helpful thing we can do for our A loved ones is work the recovery program we wish they would have for themselves ~

I found a great prayer this morning......I consider it "prayer shorthand" lol.
God.....I know that it is your plan....please......help me through it.

Teresa, it's amazing how when I am struggling I can come to SR and find a post like yours or shinebrights to give me inspiration and help to reground myself. I posted on shinebright's thread that I'm struggling with my sons decision to leave his SLE environment after 11months. The struggle is because as you say, it's not MY PLAN. Like you I have to let go and let God. Sometimes easier said than done. I pray for all of us here on SR for strength and peace.
