Is it normal for someone in recovery to have three different sponsors in 9 months?

Sometime it takes time to find the right fit. Sometimes people get a "temporary" sponsor to work with until a stronger sponsor is available. Sometimes the sponsor and sponsee just don't "fit" and changes are made.

It's not unusual, but most times they find the right person and stay connected to them. I was lucky, my first sponsor was a no-nonsense angel with a heart of gold. I will be grateful forever for all she did for me. I moved and she retired but we still stay in touch.

It's worth remembering that programs vary from person to person. And without knowing the person in question, it's hard to formulate an opinion as to what is "normal"...
