((ouch)). I think that for good or bad, the body and mind have defense mechanisms that only let a person feel so much pain for so long before there is numbness and exhaustion. However to actively deal with the pain, I sought out support from my family/friends/NA/AA/SR. My husband also felt therapy helped him.

Thank you. I thought i had dealt with it the first time, my ex husbaind, then i was sure i dealt with it the second time, my daughter. With her i did the tough love thing. She taught me how to wLl off my heart to her amd let her deal with her consequences. Now the thir time, her daughter, my beautiful grand daughter is using. I was not prepared for this. Her mother is in jail so this ittle teenager is with me. I am so angry and hurt and, like i just got hit in the gut with a baseball bat.
