I like popping into AA as well. Its all good support if you want to be sober.

Have you looked to see if your area has either Nar-anon or Families Anonymous since you have no Al-anon? Drug test can be passed even when using I am not trying to bring down any hopes he may stay quit upon release but I know my son was using and being tested and always passed.

I understand the too scared part different people wait or never go for many reasons but keep in mind everyone there has been through or are going through the same/similar things they do understand it is like here just in person and you don't have to talk.
