soon to be ex wife of an addict
January 11 2013 marked the 1 year anniversary of the day i found out that my husband of twenty years was cheating on me with a skank he met at an NA meeting. After such a long time trying to rebuild our relationship after realizing he was an addict and all of the endless nights waiting for my husband to come home after his meetings 90 in 90 and reading countless articles and books about recovery and how to be supportive this is what i got. I would like to take this opportunity to thank this "skank" for opening my eyes.

Its amazing, some of us are brought up to believe there is good inside every person, loyalty, that is what I thought. I was there for my AXGF in everyway, 2 years of hell I went through. Call it what you want, codependant ect. She went off to rehab and cheated on me with some loser from sober living. The truth is, some people are just scummy, and we have to remove ourselves from these people in anyway possible. Sorry it took you 20 years to find out. You have to focus on yourself, your own success, and your own happiness now, you are NOT alone. Hugs.
