I traveled home for Christmas & didn't search for my brother. It was so hard to drive past he exit to the part of town I believe he is living. I wanted so badly to go search for him but knew that it would not do any good. I am proud of myself for not falling back into my old habits of trying to save him. He is on his own now & I have to just sick back & wait for him to make the decision to change.

good for you for making it through the holidays. I know that it must have been very difficult to "keep your hands off of the addict" but you did. Take some deep breaths and appreciate the magnitude of what you have done.

The more I focus on me and the changes that I need to make the easier it seems to be to do the right thing.
