Prayers desperately needed...
Thank you so much everyone for your prayers, and a big thanks to Amy for updating for me.
I am also dealing with a possible partial rotator cuff tear in my left arm (next couple of weeks will tell) so by the time I got home last night I was exhausted and iced that extremely painful shoulder. Fortunately Amber (my youngest) went with me, so she did the driving on the way home.
I just talked to Dad and he was almost to the medical center, so he is going to call and let me know what is going on as soon as he knows. Unfortunately we have a winter storm going now that will dump up to 6" in their area (nothing here yet) so now my concern is them getting home safely if they release her today.
It was a pleasant surprise yesterday to see AD's stepmom come in with a balloon, lily plant and card from her and AD's dad. AD had called her dad to let him know what was going on as they have kept in touch with my folks over the years. I hadn't seen her for ages and it was good to give her a big hug! Mom was very touched by their thoughtfulness.
It was hard not to cry seeing Mom, but I kept it together. They have her on IV fluids and a heart monitor. She is so frail. All the tests so far have not shown a darned thing.
Thank God for my recovery because I was able to remain calm through the whole process. There was no driving like a mad man to get there, anytime the fear crept in I prayed, and I am truly blessed to have such caring friends here at SR. I carried all of you in my heart yesterday.
I will update when I hear back from Dad. Thank you all so much for your support!
