Of course Dev, I have servers. I hired them from NA. I am just a little paranoid that they may find the drugs first. 
(oh, I am going to make some mad with that joke. My PM box will be full, lol Good thing it is none of my business what other people think of me. )
Any who, lol, I hope you don't mind but I used your new cashmere scarf to cover my hubby's mouth so we wouldn't hear him snoring. I am sure he can breathe, cant he?? Oh, of course he can, silly me - forever the codie!!

....So I walk in,everybody was expecting me.....but it wasn't EXACTLY what I expected.
Ann & LMN & the rest of the 'ladies SR mafia' told me I misread the dress code!
I was escorted to garage,where an ill-fitting set of coveralls were waiting. Seems the
Pink Hummer takes 10W-40 oil (not 5W-15!)...but I got the job done right and
hurried back to the party. But it seemed everyone drove a long way and their gas tanks were
mostly empty.My codie kicks in and soon they were all full!
With ALL THAT done---now I could get back to the fun,mingle,and trade codie stories!
But by now all the guests were leaving and there was a PILE of dishes to do---not
to mention the GODAWFUL mess they left behind! But I have conquered bigger tasks than
that---and got right to it!
I knew my heroic efforts were appreciated,my running my life on the ragged edge of
destruction for the benefit of others was a worthy and productive venture!
As the evening ended---I turned to the host and said..
"That was a GREAT New Years party and I was glad to......
((((((((((SLAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!))))))))))
--the door had knocked me on my ass,but I got up quickly,
(thinking a gust of wind had slammed the door accidentally)
.....then the porch light went out....

LOL Vale, Thank you for all your self scarifying help. Every party needs good Codies.
Ann, KE, Lightseeker, an DEV have way too much recovery under their belts to do anything but enjoy themselves. It's all about them now!!

Then I attempted to ask KE if she was having a good time and did she need anything. She responded with "I am responsible for my own happiness, and I fully capable of meeting my own needs!

Oh and don't get me started on Dev....The pretty little thing wanted to be waited on ALL night. Every time I tried to sit down, she needed something else. I politely told her that she was more then capable of meeting her own needs....when her head started spinning and she asked "Don't you know who I am and who I know?"
So when she wasn't looking, oops, I deleted all her contacts on her phone....by mistake of course.

Stupid or Codie?
Many, many years ago when I was in my early 20's one of my best friends had a serious cocaine problem. I knew little about addiction at the time but had gotten to where I didn't want to be around her.
She called me one night and asked me to take her to a CA meeting. I was thrilled!! She said she had been going for awhile and hadn't told anyone. She asked me to pick her up early so we could get a good seat. In we go and there are people there just hanging out and waiting for the meeting to begin. She says she will be back in a minute she wants to talk to her "friend".
I watch her talk to the sketchy looking guy and then they come over to me and she says we need to leave. She said the leader of the group or whatever she called it had been hitting on her and she wasn't comfortable to stay and also her friend "Joe", her sponsor, would be coming with us. We would go somewhere where they would have a private meeting.
So the "sponsor" told me to go to a place he knew a quiet bar. They said they needed to be somewhere that wasn't busy. So we sit there and they are looking around and one would get up and disappear then the other and this goes on for about half an hour. In the meantime I am asking each about their issues and trying to give advice. My girl friend asked me if I would mind going to the car to get something for her I don't remember what. When I come back they were gone. I sat at the table thinking they went to the bathroom then I get up and start walking around looking for them. The bartender waves me over and says your friends left. They tried to sign your tab and take your credit card - I said OMG - they are both in CA they asked me to bring them here for a private meeting.
He laughed - and said which I will never forget "you dumbass they scored - nobody comes to a bar for a CA meeting they come to a bar to find it".
And yep I paged her (no cell phones then) all night to try to talk her out of it.

Oh and that Dollydo - spent the whole night smooching with her new man "Manny." She even has his picture as her new avatar. Talk about a love addict. I politely asked her if I could rent them a room and she sharply reminded me that unsolicited advice was a trait of codependency.
She is right....She is no angel. So when she wasn't looking, I hid her BB gun and which she found in record time of 15 seconds. Her skills are still sharp as ever!!

Now about the guest of honor - Lightseeker - She was such a delight. She danced and danced without a care in the world. She was a great help too. She even offered to hand wash all my silver flatware.
It's was the oddest thing though, I couldn't find it anywhere. When she wasn't looking, I checked her purse and there it was.... She said she had no idea how it got there and she was framed. Of course, I believe her. We are still trying to figure out who would do something so vile. (P.S. Vale did spot an unidentified car with a man who looked a lot like her EXH. Could he have done it?? No, he would never want to set her up..or would he??

Just a special thanks to (((Interbear))) for bringing a long her makeup and teaching us all how to apply eye shadow correctly. Being a codie is bad enough but one having improperly shadowed crease is just going way too embarrassing.
Jewel - as always - thank you for chipping in $$.
Jerect - always prepared. Fortunately she made a spare key to then hummer when Vale looked the original set in the Hummer, by mistake..of course??
Secondwind aka Belle - Had a wonderful time. She looked beautiful in her tiara and kept strong boundaries when Dev kept trying to "borrow" it. Belle is not a force to be reckoned with.
And last but not least...(((Crazybear))) Such a polite, sweet happy guest. She even brought her own police scanner, lol. But just a warning though- don't sit anywhere near her while she is drinking or eating and something funny happens. Yikes!! And I loved how she practiced using the serenity prayer ALL night in her attempts not to control others. P.S. I was still hearing it in my sleep.

P.S. When my son used to try get out of vacuuming his room, he would tell me how he "was so bad at it and couldn't do it" My response was "well, then you need some practice, the family rooms needs to be vacummed too."

LMN....I want to apologize again for the silverware incident. I am SOOOOO embarressed. I think that it happened when I was dancing with my blindfold on. I just didn't see what had happened.
It WAS my ex that set me up. He thought that I would be so embarrassed and ashamed that I would call him to ask him how to get out of the dicey situation. How did I find that out? I ran in to him while I was out looking for my kids who had not come in yet. I was just wanting to make sure that they had designated drivers...never did find THEM though.
Ahhhhh....what a night. That you SO MUCH for such a wonderful evening! My calves are really sore from all of the funky dancin' I was doing!
