Heart breaking Holiday

My heart is breaking at this moment for my AM. She has been drinking for the last 5 days in her house alone. Second time this month and she lost her job yet again. I understand I cant help her but have the fear of her dying. This will be the first Christmas without her as she will not be aloud over or she will be too drunk to even think about coming over. I feel angry and sad that I have to worry about her being dead in her house. I'm having panic attacks so I have not called her in 2 days. The guilt kills me but I have to let go for my husband abd children as they need me.

I am so sorry. The holidays can be particularly difficult when there is an addict or alcoholic in the family. Do your best to enjoy the holiday with your husband and children......

gentle hugs

I'm dealing with somewhat of a similar situation. But I am determined to not let her (in law) ruin Christmas like I have in the past. I figure keep the negative out and all that's left is positives. Have a Merry Christmas.
