It's not my fault he overslept and was 2 hours late to work. I cannot make him get out of bed. I cannot foster a good work ethic within him. I am in control of my own finances. He is in control of his. I will continue to take care of my own bills and when he asks for money to pay his rent I will not go into my savings. he canot come stay with me if he does lose the job. ugh I just keep repeating over and over in my head. didn't create it can't control it can't change it

This one hits home you could be talking about my STBXAH.. Not my fault that he spends all of his money on drugs and can't find the money to pay the bills or his share of the rent.. Not my problem that he chooses to sleep all day rather then find a job that makes more money.. And pretty soon he's not going to be my problem at all!!!!!!!

Didn't mean to hijack your thread.. Guess I just needed to vent with you.

A better affirmation though would be.. I'm very strong and very capable of taking care of myself.. No matter what challenges fill my life right now, I know that I'm going to be ok..
