Could use some healing thoughts
I just wanted to post briefly and ask for prayers. Got violently ill last night and apparently ended up very dehydrated. Was running to the bathroom, blacked out and hit my head on the sink. Sort of came to as my head hit the floor. Thank God AD was there and called the ambulance. Best b/p the paramedics could get was 80/38.
No concussion but ended up with staples in my head and a whole lot of fluids IV. Still very weak today. I have a follow-up with my physician this aftenoon. AD is gone till Monday but Amber is helping me out with caring for the dogs, getting me to the doc, etc.
Hopefully I will be up more tomorrow and able to get online. I'm posting from my cell right now which is not my favorite way to post.

Oh DeVon, how awful and how scary that must have been.
Please take very good care of yourself, drink fluids and rest!! Now is a good time to keep someone near you to help if needed.

Be as tough as that badger on your avator......or is that some kind of
weird cat sticking it's tongue out? Sorry,it's guy protocol to get your
buddies to laugh after they've broken a couple of ribs----it's excruciating
but somehow you feel better afterwards.
Now to pour some SR-style/adding insult to injury/TAKE GOOD CARE OF
YOURSELF TODAY---no one else matters.
Time for Freedom1990 maximum self-spoilage today and rest of week,no
arguing,no quibbling,no quacking!

Wow. Sounds scary but glad to hear you're feeling a bit better and getting to the doc today.

Oh wow, I am so glad your daughter was there to call the ambulance. I hope the Dr's find out why and that you are able to get some rest with your other daughter helping out. Sending healing prayers your way.

I am definitely feeling better today. I'm not as weak as yesterday. I have some increased back pain from the fall, but I just talked to Amber and she is going to call my PA to see if she could call in a script. Amber used to nanny the PA's four children, and her horses are pastured on their property.
I actually managed to wash my hair yesterday, albeit very gently where the staples are at, and discovered I also have a pretty good egg on the back of my head (staples are on the top).
I was told in ER that there is a nasty intestinal virus circulating, so I expect that is what I had. Other than my white count being slightly elevated, all the labs came back good.
I guess I wasn't real clear on my posting yesterday, but still wasn't with it. I didn't black out until I had been ill with vomiting/diarrhea for around 4 hours. That was about my 5th trip to the bathroom when I blacked out and fell.
It's a beautiful mild sunshiny day here, so I am just going to take it easy, and Amber is going to take me for a drive later on.
