Still in Hospital
Just a quick update .AS has now been in the hospital 19 days and probably has another 3-4 weeks to go. He says he isn't having the heart surgery. He's convinced he doesn't need it. I'm trying To be quiet about it. That is his decision to to make. A second opinion would be nice.
Will admit it has been nice having him in a hospital, other than the occasional trips. He is well-cared for. I know it isn't helping the pill addiction, but he was going to do that anyway.
Drugs destroy healthy lives. If I had a magic wand, I would wipe out all addiction.

He's in a good place, Washbe, and more time to think about his life while he is there.
I am keeping him in my prayers because I do believe in miracles and it would make my heart smile if he could get his.

Happy BD Washbe! Glad your son is in a safe place and praying that he'll start making good decisions for himself. Under the healthcare reform law, hospitals are penalized if they discharge too many people who comeback within 30 days for the same thing. They have a real interest in follow-up care so hopefully things can be done to get your son on his feet and stabilized.
