Asking for healing thoughts and prayers for a friend...
My hairdresser/nail tech lost her brother last Friday to suicide. He was the only sibling she had. This has been a difficult year for her already. She recently was involved in a nasty custody battle with her controlling abusive ex partner of seven years. She had just gotten married, and he used that little girl as a pawn because he was angry and married someone else.
Also, my hairdresser's mother had recently lost a very dear friend to an overdose of prescription pills, and she is still grieving that loss.
As of now, I am planning on attending his funeral tomorrowto show my support. He also left behind a wife and four little girls.

My prayers go out for those who loved these sad souls, and for you as you go through the days ahead trying to comfort each one.
Sometimes I think that one of the blessings of recovery is that it gives us the courage to step up and let these people know how much we care.
