Coda meetings

I'm wondering if Coda meetgings are only for those who have codependency issues with addicts or for people who get involved with others' problems where alcohol/drugs are not involved? I would like to hear experience from those who attended Coda meetings. Thank you

CoDA was my home fellowship for many years and it was a wonderful fellowship that probably saved my life.

It is for anyone with issues of codependency, whether it is related to addiction, or mental illness, or an over-dominant family member or a need to control...it actually helped me to be in a meeting where it wasn't always all about addiction. The meetings were about "me" and "my issues" and I learned from many who were not living the same life I was.

Why not give it a try and see how it works for you. We each find our own comfort zone at various meetings, and we don't know until we try several out, which one fits our need best.

Good luck, let us know how you make out.

Hugs

I was curious about the coda meetings also. I went to a naranon meeting last week. I hadn't been in a few months and I found myself a little down from hearing some of the new comers. I felt so sad for them because I know how bad it hurts when your loved one is in acctive addiction.

I think I will try a coda meeting also . . . good post Jur : )
