Book Suggestions

I am going out of town to spend 2-3 weeks with my best friend who is very sick her daughter has to go back to work on Monday and if no one can be there 24/7 then she will have to enter rehab.

I know she will be sleeping a lot this week she was in CCU and last week she was in ICU, she is suffering the consequences of having been an alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver she is the only true friend I have ever had in my life she is like a mom too me.

I figure this would be a good time for me to read and do step work etc...
One of the problems I am having is learning how to not take my AH drug use personal because it sure feels that way I know I am not why he uses I know I can't help him quit but I have trouble understanding addiction.

I saw the book oooops listed I have read it before but wasn't ready I plan to take that with me, also, I plan on rereading Codependent No more.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Language of Letting Go is another book by Melody Beattie that I find helpful and inspiring.

Sending prayers for your friend.

Hugs

The Dance of Anger: A Woman's Guide to Changing the Patterns of Intimate Relationships by Harriet Lerner.

I hope this helps with the anger you have been experiencing.

I hope your friend values what a good friend you are. xox

"Leaving the Enchanted Forest: The Path from Relationship Addiction to Intimacy"

and.."A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of "A Course in Miracles"

Some of my favorite reading to help me find my way on the path.

Hi Angie, Your Erroroneous Zones, by Dr. Wayne Dyer might be a good one. Have fun.
