It's time for me to be the tough peron I know I am. I have started talking to his mom bout this. What I want is for him to see the kids with his parents and my younger brother present. They will not be going anywhere alone with him. We will not meet at my house which is my own place that he has never set foot in, my refuge and place of peace to raise my kids, untouched by fights or addiction. So I'm working it out. It takes me a bit to sort my head at times, but I spoke to support people who have witnessed his behavior and thy always get me back to my logical self. And of course I have this wonderful group.

I want to bet with you because I am do hoping for this. It's like when I told him I wasn't going to join him in the new city. He said he was going to come back here, get a job and rent a room so we could go to counseling and work on the marriage. Yet he stayed there, found a job and and says he needs to focus on his recovery for a year put there with his NA group. What you bet in a year he has an established life there he just can't leave.

Only time will tell what kind of man he proves out to be in the end. My gut is there is a war between who he imagines he is supposed to be (suburban working dad devoted to family) and fungi... Err I mean Fun Guy, hanging with friends, going to concerts, hitting on chicks..etc. I suspect he likes the second more with or without the drugs. Though he talks the talk of the first guy to me, which is why I rely on those who got a good dose of Fungi.

Probably! But there hasn't been any to speak of yet, he is like the anti support, taking away instead of giving. I find it funny a check is suddenly in the mail when I bring it up. He was waiting for a check, he isn't swimming in money. Unbeknownst to him I get his bank statements. I know what he makes weekly, when he gets paid and soon he will be doing quite well especially with only himself to pay for.

My friends have always been amazed how can I make a joke even when I am upset. Humor/laughing is great medicine.
