15yr Old Using.....
 

Well it's pretty much confirmed that my 15yr old son is experimenting with marijuana. He is staying at a friends house & is refusing to go back to his mothers. I am on the birth certificate but do not have legal custody of him. His mother wants me to intervene but don't feel as if I have legal authority? Of course, I have had my own severe alcohol/crack/heroin addiction so I'm not too surprised . I was neve into weed but believe it is a serious drug. I suspect his mom is a user also but I don't know.

Intervene to do what? Make him come home? If she wants him to come home, all she has to do is call the police and tell them where he is and that she wants him to be brought home.

Agree with L2L. The legal guardian is the one that needs to start setting boundaries and establishing expectations.
