I am glad to get my daughter back today. It has been an amazing day. As she and I drove the long two hours back from where she was in rehab at..I couldn't help but smile. Here was the adult child I had given birth to.. not the vacant stares and manic creature I left there just a month ago. She asked me to take her to a meeting tonight, I did so gratefully. We talked about her and her goals and She noticed the slight change in me. All in all, today was a sincere blessing. The coconut filled chocolate in the box..I feel calm and content.

I hope your daughter will continue to commit to embracing her recovery with everything she's got.

Learn from those of us with adult children who have come home after rehab and try not to make the mistakes so many of us have made. I remember how hopeful I was for my son when he returned home.
