Music that helps with healing

Songs that will help some of you feel stronger. Use all the positive tools that will help right? I cant provide any links because I dont have enough post on this forum yet, but you can find the songs on youtube.

Both of these songs has really helped me. Beyonce's song especially comforted me when I decided that it was time to "Let Go" of my heroin addict ex. One year later, I still have so much healing to do. However, I no longer have the intense anxiety and panic attacks associated with him... I no longer have to drive out in the middle of the night looking for him while juggling law school. While I still have much unresolved sadness, anger and grieve, I know I will be ok because by walking away, I've allowed myself to begin the healing process.

Kelly Clarkson - What Doesnt Kill You (Stronger)

Beyonce - The Best Thing I Never Had

I especially love these parts of the lyrics in Beyonce's song:
"Thank God, I found the GOOD in GOODBYE"
"Honestly, You turned out to be the best thing I never had" - (this is so true, plus did we ever had our addicts in any true capacity?)
"Thank God I dodged a bullet!!"

Katy Perry - Wide Awake (such a powerful song for people struggling to find a clear vision in the midst of the craziness that comes with addiction)

I wish I knew then
What I know now
Wouldn't dive in
Wouldn't bow down
Gravity hurts
You made it so sweet
'Til I woke up on
On the concrete

...

I'm wide awake
Not losing any sleep
I picked up every piece
And landed on my feet
I'm wide awake
Need nothing to complete myself, No

Music does soothe the soul. Thanks for sharing songs that help you.

I am particularly fond of instrumental....no lyrics.....just music that helps me get into a kind and peaceful frame of mind.

gentle hugs

I could write a book on this topic.

My most recent example of music healing my soul is, believe it or not, listening to Rush's latest album. The closing track on it is called "The Garden". The "garden" is a metaphor for a person's acts and attitudes, and there comes a time when we have have to tend to our gardens. Over some glistening guitar chords and a string section, the song goes:

In the measure of a life
Is a measure of love and respect
So hard to earn, so easily burned
In the fullness of time
A garden to nurture and protect

The first time I really listened to this and read the lyrics, I cried.
