A few prayers/good thoughts would be appreciated today.
I have so much to post, but no time today to fill everyone in as I am heading for work.
The main concern today is my dad, whose pacemaker battery is failing and he will be having it replaced today over in Wichita.
He called me last night, and asked if I could come over because Mom needs me. Her mental health has been deteriorating for some time, but that is another story for later.
She could do nothing but sob on the phone (she had asked to talk to me too) and has this tremendous fear that Dad will die.
I will be heading to the medical center after I work this morning and take care of Amber's dogs so that I can sit with both of them, and then of course with Mom while he is in surgery.
Hopefully he will be dismissed later today, but if not, we will tackle that issue if/when it arises.
Prayers for all of us would be greatly appreciated, especially for me for strength and the continuing ability to remain calm in the midst of this. Thank you.

Thank you everyone for the thoughts and prayers. I will again keep this brief as I am on a tight schedule today.
Dad had to end up spending the night even though the generator replacement went without a hitch. He "thought" he was going to be alright to drive after he had been there a few hours, which the doctor told him a resounding NO!
So, I ended up bringing Mom back to my town and got a motel room for the night with two beds so I could spend the night with her. I ran home to see my dogs for a bit, grabbed pj's and clothing for the morning, and went back to the motel.
This morning Dad called and said he was on the way to pick up Mom, so we had about 45 minutes to kill, and I gave her a little tour. We drove by Amber's house so she could see where she lived, and then we went to see Amber's horses.
They were right up at the fence (she has only seen Sonny, not the others Amber has purchased since then) and she was delighted. She was able to pet their heads, and I gave them treats. We also saw the pair of geese that nest down at the pond, with 7 goslings in tow, and that made her happy! Then as we got ready to leave, the 12 ducklings that were purchased all came walking over to us! They have a small pond in the back of the house where the ducklings usually are. I believe they are about 3 weeks old now.
I am very tired as it was trying emotionally (and physically with being on my feet a lot, walking all over the hospital, and highway driving) but am so glad I was able to "repay" in a small way for those horrible years I was in active addiction/alcoholism and hurt them so deeply. I am grateful that I was there for the two of them. I kept Mom busy mentally showing pictures to her on my cell phone while Dad was in surgery, so she had no time to "worry", and the doctor came out to tell us Dad did fine before we knew it.
I will go back to work this afternoon. For now I am relaxing a bit at home with some coffee, have read my Alanon meditation for the day, and am good to go.
