Need info

Went to buy (codependent no more) but their are 2 of them by the same author. Could someone tell me the name of the author and which one i should buy. Going to go get it Friday. THANKS

Melody Beattie has a newer updated version, I actually was sent a copy to review a couple of years back. Having read both, I prefer the original.
