Continued prayers of comfort for you in the loss of your son ~

My daughter that I share about here ~ is actually my "step-daughter" - she has been in my life since she was 15 yrs old, she is now 35. I also have another "step-son" that suffers from the disease, and the granddaughter that lives with us full time is actually a "step-granddaughter"

The terms "step", "foster", "adopted" ~ don't really matter when it comes to children and your heart ~ they become a part of you. We love them, care for them, hurt for them, cry for them, cheer for them, laugh with them, dream for them and everything else that you do for a child. . .

I pray that you take comfort in knowing you gave everything you could to your son the time he was with you ~

May he rest in peace and may you find peace & comfort also ~

I think that you were lucky to have him as your bonus son and he was lucky to have him as his bonus mom. I'm so glad that you shared more of the story with us..... I, too, am glad that he is now with his birth mom and somehow there is this surreal connection between all of you. It brings me peace that he was so well loved in between his mom's death and his own....God truly places us right where we need to be.

This is a tragedy of unspeakable depths....but please know that you are loved and that on this board your privacy is completely respected. This is when we gather in closely and get pretty protective!!!!!!

I hope that you continue to feel the love and compassion that is here for you.....may God's grace carry you through this very difficult time.....
