Just a quick check-in this morning while everyone is still in bed.
Alexandria will be here through Sunday, and we are getting together with my folks in a nearby city to see an IMAX feature at the Cosmosphere and then out to eat. Hopefully this will give her a break from all the stress.
I am waiting until Alexandria goes home to her dad and then the proverbial sh*t will hit the fan here. AD took a total of 6 1mg xanax yesterday, 2 at a time. I was the one handling everything yesterday, including offering my support to my granddaughter as much as humanely possible.
I am calm. I have to be for my granddaughter. I will remain calm.
Then I will deal with AD once Alexandria is gone.
This has been totally unacceptable behavior to me, period.

I'm sorry Freedom. I hope that the trip to the IMAX feature can take your mind off of things for a bit. I know first hand how hard it is not to be dragged in and under when it seems as if you are the only sane one standing.

I have prayed for this whole situation, for wisdom and for courage and for justice.
I wish I could be there to help. I would get the dogs fed and tended to without your having to worry about it.

Yep, stay calm whie the granddaughter is there. Go and enjoy your day and HAVE FUN, both of you.
Once granddaughter is back at her father's, then you and AD can have a DISCUSSION.
You are definitely correct, her actions yesterday are not acceptable at all.
Be prepared, because you did not say anything about yesterday per se, she may continue the behavior through the weekend while granddaughter is there, with the excuse she just 'cannot handle the stress.' rofl We all know that one.
So only you can decide if this is a 'deal breaker' or not. Please do not take over 'doling' out her prescribed medications. You are not her jailer or her warden. However, I M H O she has disrespected your home and your house rules.

AD will be addressed after we spend some time with my folks tomorrow on an outing. I will be dropping Alexandria off at her dad's when we are done.
No worries on the meds as I refuse to dole them out, and I don't count pills either.
I don't need that kind of proof. Her actions tell me when she's loaded. I'm not sure what the result will be after I talk to her, but I am confident I am secure in my own recovery. With all the support I have during this difficult situation, I know there are plenty of good folks to guide me, including all of you at SR!

i know this has been an upsetting situation but i hope your granddaughter can come to appreciate the fact that what happened to her came out and can be dealt with- when those things are kept in secrecy the damage is much worse over the years - you have been a champion, freedom, prayers for you and your granddaughter
