What makes you feel good?

My AH doesn't have the desire to get sober so he can save his own life. What are the things you do yourself to take your mind off things?

I like drinking tea, taking a hot bath, a great tasting meal, and doing home beauty treatments, such as face masks and exfoliation.

I go to yoga 3 or 4 times a week, read, and go to Naranon meetings. Oh, and I love trying different kinds of tea.

working with others to get something done that can't be done alone, and seeing results, lifts my spirit like nothing else.

I love snuggling my Schnauzer and watching movies (i particularly love documentaries). Making jewelry, collage, reading, dinner with friends, coloring in coloring books (yes, as an adult i STILL love coloring!). And i really love tea time too...too bad we weren't all close, we could get together for tea meetings! lol

Going to estate sales, going to basketball games, refinishing tree lawn finds, spending time with family friends, fostering animals from the shelter, getting a new haircut and pair of shoes.

Lots of knitting and shopping for knitting supplies, hanging out with my sister, seeing my grandchildren, staying focused at work, and drinking tea (a universal stress reliever?).

Wow, this is a tea-riffic group I also love a nice hot cup of tea on a frosty evening like tonight. I enjoy offering "petage" (as my son termed it) to my loyal dog, good books, estate/garage sales and finding a treasure at an incredible bargain, and just this very weekend I discovered jewelry-making with a little bead kit! Honestly it's only been in the last month or so, since I got away from my AS, that I have been able to feel joy, thus able to enjoy anything at all in many years. I thought that feeling was lost to me forever.

ps: Anybody tried the tea-flowers in the glass teapots? It's really neat to drop in a dried tea flower, pour in the hot water and watch it unfold into a beautiful flower, and the tea is delicious!
