Does it hurt more around this time?

Last night, me and two my children went to a community center to help serive meals for the less fortunately. My family always does this at this time of year. Except we did it without my AD Amber. I didn't have any problems while we were doing it but we got home I just sat down and cried. Thinking I'm going to have to do all our normal Christmas traditions, without Amber all because Amber choose getting drunk with her friends all the time over us. Even this time last year when Amber was in the beginning phases of alocholism she did this stuff with us. I have trouble dealing with it, does anyone else feel the same way.

Amber is doing her thing, that is her choice. Focus on your other children and your husband, don't put a damper on their Christmas because Amber has made some bad choices, that is just not fair to the others.

I'm sorry that you miss your daughter and will pray that she finds her way to recovery soon.

What a wonderful holiday tradition you have! I love to volunteer at food pantries when I have time. I hope you had a wonderful time with your children who are still at home!
