Wow, OT or is it?

Last night I had a dream that me and my AH were on a lake, we were messing around with a wave runner thing, the old type where you stand up on it. I was driving the deal from the pier to my AH. AH was in the water waiting on me. I did not have on a life jacket because as soon as AH got on, I was going to swim back to the pier which was not that far away from where he was. When I got to my AH, I jumped off and he jumped on. However, instead of swimming back to the pier, I started sinking. It was so real, I saw myself sink to the bottom of the lake, I could see the sun shinning in the water but it was getting fainter and fainter the deeper I was sinking. I could not swim, it was like I was paralyzed or had a weight around me. I knew I was drowning. In the dream I was thinking to myself that I was about to die and then I woke up. It was such a vivid dream, I saw colors, the water was typical lake water looking, murky and well lake water.

I don't know, I know I have been really frustrated here lately trying to "keep my head above water". So I imagine it has to do with the way I am feeling. I feel like I am sinking sometimes. I usually don't put a lot of stock in dreams but this one was odd. It was not like I was watching a show about folks on the lake right before I went to bed. I did have pizza for dinner so that might have been it.

Water usually means emotions, spirituality, and nightmares are fears. If you accept that interpretation, it might mean you're downing in your own murky emotions because you're trying to swim on your own (no life jacket), and you fear you've given away control of your life and safety (jet ski) to your AH, who rides further and further away from you, letting you sink.

Much food for thought! I feel like that, it makes sense.
