Im having him arrested.

Today is/was the last straw. Im waiting for AH to get home after his bender that included stealing every dime I have. I have already called the police. I just have to call them when he gets here and they will come get him. He also has a warrant. I tried to be a loving supportive wife but this is it. Im done. I'll quit my job if I have to. Im not doing this anymore. Im not going to be a victim. Im having him arrested today. I will not change my mind. Im tired of living like this.

Unauthorized use of an account and he has a warrant for his arrest already. I've already called. Just waiting for him to get here.

When the addict crosses the line into harming others something should definately be done, i know it has to be hard, but if police intervention is what needs to happen then i wish you luck with it. i've stolen my childrens christmas away, solen birthday parties etc. i understand how he is rationalizing it and also i can empathize with you, now in recovery seeing the pain i was bringing upon my wife and children. hopefully this will be enough to let him see past his own addiction and get help for himself. if you let it slide , its just enableing him to continue. best of luck with this and i hope everything works out for you in the end.

You have hit your bottom, now there is a change in place, a positive one for you. For my part, I believe that you are doing the right thing.

Your first post said you had your check book and debit card secured. I am asking how he managed to drain your financial resources becasue others may benefit from your experience. Lord knows we are all vulnerable when someone in active addiction lives in our home.

Good for you having him charged. You finally have hit your bottom. How did he get at your funds ? Also curious ? The addict never seizes to amaze me. Many times I have thought I have secured everything and AS still managed to steal from us.
