ME for a change!
This is the first year sence my sons were born that I did not spend my Birthday money on THEM. I did not use it for bills. Guess what I did. I cashed that check from my parents...went to Buckles in the 'nice' mall....the one I never go to... and bought myself an outfit, pocketboot and boots! Whoa. I am so excited and anxious I feel sick. I bought what I liked instead of parading it around in front of my husband to approve or not. Hey I got style too.
Today I declare is ANTI-CODIE DAY!!!

How did you know I not only saved the receipt but all the little tags in the slick black bag? Dang it...I went and burned the receipt...never done that before. It took a long time...they must mix plastic in with the paper on receipts!
I lit a little flame
And burnt that guilt and shame
Feeling strangely sane
This Codie's now got game!
There is a whole new ME that I didn't know. I have a lot to learn but being open-minded and willing to do something different really works. Re-born...why not? Life can actually be
fun...huh...I forgot. There's just no telling what might happen good next!!!
I am from the South and and we always called them pocketbooks! I asked my Mom why this was and she said generations before her time, gentlemen actually carried small wallets called pocketbooks...like during the war!
