RAH therapist appointment
RAH saw his therapist today. I have learned to not ask how it went. If he wants me to know something he will tell me. In the past he had been prescribed an antihistamine (to help him sleep), a very low dose blood pressure medication (to help in the beginning with his blood pressure going up and down with strong cravings), and an anxiety/depression medication.
Today he told me that his told the therapist he didn't want refills on the antihistamine and blood pressure med because he found himself taking to calm down like he would the narcotics. Never more than prescribed but he noticed he looked forward to taking it. RAH hadn't taken any for weeks so he just told the therapist he didn't want them anymore. He is staying on the Effexor because the panic attacks and depression were the reason he was self medicating in the past to begin with before it spiraled out of control
I guess he wanted to me know to show me the positive steps he was taking?
