Out Of Control Family Member Again...
My cousin is currently living with my 89year old grandmother at her house. The police are looking for him and drug dealers are looking for him (he robbed the spot again). I often times see folks here talk about their loved ones need to reach bottom. What happens when the person doesn't care. He has been to prison 5 times and will probably never be able to function in the free world. He shoots heroin yet it seems to make him speedy, almost like an upper. When he runs out of money he will rob the drug house with an old criminal buddy of his. My grandmother thinks he just needs to go to church & meet a nice women??? She is having trouble remembering things & I'm sure he is taking advantage. The police have told my aunt that if they don't get him then he will end up dead on the street. What to do when someone doesn't want help, doesn't seem to care and has 9 felony convictions??

You already know that the only one YOU can help is YOU.
Please take the focus off of your cousin and put it back on you and
your problems.
If you are that concerned about your grandmother, then call Adult
Protection Services and have them do a 'wellness check,' giving them
all the info you can with your call.
Please work on you. We do care.
Love and hugs,

You have to let go and let God.
There is no number set, they hit bottom when they hit it, and only they know when it is.
It is so hard to watch them destroy there lives. But we have no control.
I like the suggestion form laurie678 To help your grandmother. In turn might get help for your cousin. But protecting her might be prudent because you never know what the drug dealers might do.
Sorry for your pain and situation.

The police actually took the robbery complaint for one of the local dealers. That is much they hate him. Hes never stolen from my grandmother but she does give him money to fix things around the house.
Drug dealers have been known to threaten family members to get paid. They are not fussy about the source of repayment.
Drug addicts are also known for creating a situation that causes a family member to pay their debt.
Is there some reason why the Police don't go to grandma's house and arrest him?
