Hi everyone, I'm back home
Hi everyone, I'm back home
Hi all,
Just a fast "catch-up" note.
Mr. Moose and I cut short our Summer in Canada, to come home and look after our 29 month old grandson of our oldest AS. While I was up there, I was speaking with the baby momma and it seems the little one was acting out in daycare, and actually smacked a teacher and told her to shut up.
Mr. Moose and I have had sinking feelings about this child's environment since he was about 8 months old. I don't have any proof of anything, but he has NEVER wanted to be returned to the other grandmas home, where he, baby momma, and her half-brother live. He began crying when I returned him there at 8 months. I do know for a fact that the other grandma does not want to watch him very often, and is still angry at her daughter for not getting an abortion. And...the half brother seems kind of sadistic to me, so maybe he slapped the baby and told him to shut up?
He stayed overnight Friday and wasn't even happy to see his mom come to get him, and started screaming and crying in the car as she drove out the driveway. Heartbreaking.
So, anyway, we returned to try to instill some stability in the childs life.
Baby momma doesn't really want our son around his son, so...it's a awful situation...yikes.
Meanwhile...youngest AS in prison in Fla. until 2013 I think......
naturally I am sending money occasionally, but he really doesn't ask, but I know how the story goes by now.
And.oldest son, says he is sober.completely, no alcohol, no drugs, no marijuana....and NO JOB.
So...as you see, nothing has changed much, except for one little loving, sweet child, who doesn't deserve any of this mess.
Love ya all......

Good to hear from you Moose. Your sense of humor has been missed!
I'm sorry to hear of the difficulties with your sweet grandson. It is so difficult when there are children involved. I also have a grandson--the son of my AS. We get to see him one weekend per month. Luckily, he is living in a good, stable environment with his Momma and her family. I don't know what I would do if he was in a stickier situation.
Welcome home.....

Glad you got home safe and sound, Moose, and hope that little grandbaby angel knows how blessed he is to have you.
It's a shame the children are the ones to suffer most.
Keeping you all in my prayers.

I was a wondering if you and Ann had paddled around in the water this summer, guess not, well, there is always next year...or how about in Fl this winter? We keep it warm here for you northerners!
Noooo!
I mean that you see a small child who needs a voice and someone to care for his best interests.
I say God Bless all the grandmothers, and great grandmothers (like dear Dev), who are caring for the little ones when no one else can. There is a special place in heaven for each of you...save me a seat, will ya?
