Even though I had taken the $1500 from our checking account what with all the stuff I was having to put out with this move I was getting a bit low on funds. I was wondering if I was going to be able to do this. I know that with just my income it will be hard. I had mailed out paperwork to get get child support established. Not being one to just let stuff happen as it will I decided to call and make sure they had received it and if there was any idea when I could expect to have something set up. Well I have no idea when to expect that to be done BUT!!!! when I called I found out that my ex husband had been paying child support regularly for the last 3 yrs. My child support card had just under $8000 on it!!!! I was floored!

I had the child support card from when they first went to that system of using the card instead of sending checks 5-6 yrs ago. There was never any money on it for years and I kinda quit checking. Just figured he would live his life under the radar, working off the books. I dont even know what state he is in. So technically they did inform me.... they put the money on the card each month. I do kinda wonder how long it would have went on before they contacted me to ask about none of the funds being used.
