Katie..I also think you are doing well..when my daughter was out there..the anger that I had helped me detach, later I was able to lovingly detach..I so understand about what you are saying regarding feeling like you don't know him anymore s, been so busy trying to save him..I had a fantasy of how my daughter would be clean..it turned out to be just another fantasy I had to let go of (she is doing well..but I thought EVERY "flaw" she had would be gone when she got sober..wrongo!)
I know it seems like he keeps sliding by , but I truly believe that at some time or other everybody's luck runs out..if he keeps this up he is pretty much guaranteed to have the house of cards come falling down..we just don't know when..
