Nar-anon Meetings : Help

There aren't any Nar-anon meetings in my area...not even in my state! The closest al-anon meeting is 45 min away.
My question is:
Has anyone set up a meeting in their hometown and how do you go about it.

I feel I need to attend face-to-face meetings for the sake of my recovery.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i understand your frustration - naranon meetings are hard to find - i have even found alanon meetings to be hard to find close by - but since i live in the atlanta area the travel is not that difficult - i wish i could help you with the logistics of starting a group but i don't know anything about it - try the official website for and i'm sure you will find help there if others here can't help

I am absolutely floored that there are not more Naranon meetings available. The problem of drug addiction is rampant.

I don't know anything about starting up a group but this might help......

Start A Group

My Naranon group has only been around for about two years and the attendance can vary from just a handful of people (4-6) up to a room full (12-15). It just depends. Some folks have to travel quite a distance to get to our meeting as it is only one of about five in our state.

I would love to see more people get meetings started out there. I think the need is great.

gentle hugs

I agree I think there needs to be more naranon meetings as well. there is only 1 in my area but held on an evening that was difficult for me to attend.
I was able to attend 3 alanon meetings a week as they are more available. but would have preferred to have more opportunity to attend naranon as well.

Thanks for all your replies/suggestions.
Kindeyes, I will definitely look into Start A Group link.
