Just a reminder for anyone interested......there's a Friends and Family Meeting in the chat rooms on Saturday evenings.

6:00 Pacific Time Zone
7:00 Mountain Time Zone
8:00 Central Time Zone
9:00 Eastern Time Zone

I'm only familiar with US time zones so I hope our friends from other countries forgive me for limiting the time zone listing (and I sure hope I got the US time zones right!)

From what I have seen from attending just one meeting myself, the format is similar to a Naranon/Alanon meeting in that there is no cross talk, there is a designated group leader, and the meeting lasts for one hour.

I would imagine (but don't know this for certain) that people could stick around for a more open style chat after the meeting (correct me if I'm wrong here someone).

I hope I haven't overstepped myself by providing this public service announcement. I've been on SR for a reasonably long time and wasn't aware of the Saturday night meetings until recently. Just thought I'd share.

Normally I would be very agreeable to standing in for you but I have my grandson this weekend and we are planning on going to a BMX racing event so I may not be at the meeting tonight. But in the future, I would be happy to help out.

I know I am reading this post late, but if there is ever a time that I could fill in for someone please let me know. I would need to be shown the *ropes* and all, but I do have a lot of Sat nights free. =)
