WIsh there was something I could do..like come sit with you..but this is all we got right now. Great that you told him you love him..but he already knew. he knows that you just want the best for him, even though in his active addiction, he couldn't express it.And he loves you too.

Update, 0100 CT Scan shows no new bleeding. That's good! Also BAC was 0 and tox screen was neg. Now, to wait some more. This mom is going to try to get some sleep now, my eyes hurt and my head hurts, sleep will help. Thanks everyone.

awww fgb, Im so very very sorry to read about the turn of events. may your son be on the road to recovery. glad to read that the bleeding has stopped, can only imagine what your going through.

I don't usually speak for others but I think it's safe to do so in this case......although we may not be there with you physically.....we are all sitting there with you over the next few days/weeks in spirit.

Update!
First of all, I want to thank you all for your prayers and wishes, I'm overwhelmed when I come here to check in, and am so grateful to you all, I can't even begin to tell you!!
Now, let me tell you about our visit tonight. Dan is the same, no worse, and for that I count my blessings. The brain swelling continues, but that's to be expected for 48 - 72 hours. So I'm comfortable with his progress.
His nurse was incredibly amazingly fantasticly awesome. My HP sent her, I know he did!! We had been chatting a little. Then I said, ya know, it's kinda sad, that you worry the least about your grown kid when they're either in jail or in the hospital. I don't feel like I need to sit here for 8 hours at a time because I know he's safe. She said I know exactly what you mean! She has a son also, same age, and his name is Dan also!!! He has also had his "share of problems" and she's learned that she can't control or cure it, she had to step back, not give him money and let him do it on his own and he is!
How flippin amazing is that. She's adding my Dan to her prayers, and has big hopes that he'll come out of this and use it to help others and that she is honored and priviledged to take care of my son.
She didn't come right out and blatantly say anything, but I understood. I smiled all the way home tonight, at least until I read all your msgs, then I cried alittle!! Couldn't wait to tell you all this amazing story. HP's, hmmmm, you never know when or where they're going to pop up next!!
