Just as an aside, what is it with addicts losing their identification? It's right up with having their clothes stolen?

It is hard not to hear from them for weeks. It is often during those long spells of no communication that my mind begins to "awfulize".

He didn't tell me the details of how or why he lost his wallet. I have visions of him getting beat up and the wallet stolen, or sleeping on some couch somewhere and someone stealing it......but more than likely, he simply left it somewhere. That's what I mean about "awfulizing". I need to stop doing that, it's such a codie behavior.
