This is what he used to always tell me when we first started seeing each other, and it worked for quite sometime...Very clever, actually to fool someone who doesn't know you that well. I'm still not 100% positive, but I think it was a carefully crafted cover-up. Even still if you are, that is not an excuse to not help yourself. Took me a very long time to realize that.

O they are so good at getting ya aren't they. Its really amazing. I still wonder if the manipulation is conscious.

Someday I'll probably quit.
Everyone at the NA meetings hate me.
I went to meetings for 20 days straight, it didn't help, so I quit.
Him: I don't need to have my pushers number in my phone, I have it memorized.
Me: I'm so proud!
Him: I'd rather live on the street and dumpster dive than live with you.
Me: You got it! Choa, Adios, See Ya!

Hi everyone... I haven't posted in a few years... I have been lurking around reading over the last few weeks, but this post was just too good to sit out on... I have heard so many of those same crazy things.
I left him over 4 months ago. Here are some actual quotes from a recent email I received from my ex fiance (don't know how to abbreviate this?) after 4 days in the hospital with a severe staph infection:
--"I did not get staph from drugs. I havent used them in awhile. I have shoot up
before. but not for months."
--"Good job, you didnt get addicted to opiates like me. your special. f you for
trying to take me down. Dont play your f-ed up holier then thou card with me. Good job, you didnt get addicited. you got lucky. I didn't."
--"And PS- I would have never shot up if I didnt get thrown out on my a$$. I was so
f-ing f-ed up emoitionaly and spirtially that I didnt know what to do."

When we went NC with my BIL, there was a subsequent contact where my DH tried to talk to my BIL about his problem in an intervention. The backstory is that we are no contact because he shoots heroin. Anyway, here are the recent whoppers.
"I don't have a problem" (right, you shoot heroin - non-addicts shoot heroin all the time here in Crazytown!) followed by
"I do drugs because you guys hurt me so badly by not letting me see the kids" (Facepalm! We went NC because he shoots drugs. In the real chronology of events shooting drugs came *before* the NC position, not after!)

My 18 year old AD at NA meeting (2 days off heroin)"Oh my gosh ..see those guys over there,they are really bad. (drug users)
Me, TRying not to make wtf face"oh really."
AD "Yeah, I hung out with high class heroin users"
Me..complete silence..
Would "high class heroin user" be the ultimate oxymoron? BTW, when we picked up AD she had no shoes,all kinds of infections, unbathed, and scabby..super classy and highfalutin!
