sharing joy

Just dropping in to say hello to old friends and new...altho I don't post often I read regularly....it helps me to stay grounded and focused on my own recovery

as a newbie I was always looking for a glimmer of hope in someone else's story...I now have the opportunity to offer that glimmer and so I will....

my RAS will soon celebrate his birthday...a birthday that I once feared he would never see....

he has turned his life around...how did it happen?
one step at a time....often two steps forward and one step back

he is now the man I dreamed he would be....no, he has exceeded my dreams

I am not trying to brag...I am sharing this because I once watched medics carry him out the front door....I want everyone to know that there is hope even if things seem hopeless....

please keep us in your prayers....we all do this one day at a time
I hold all of you in my hearts and pray daily that those still struggling will find the light to guide them

Lil, I am so happy for him and for you. This has been a long road and it truly brings hope and light to read a wonderful post like yours.

Please know, you and your boy have been in my prayers a long time, and will continue to be there every day.

Hugs and Love

thank you so much for sharing the success you and your son are experiencing - recovery can also include recovered dreams - prayers will be offered for continued success
