Step Work for us on SR?
Step Work for us on SR?
hey guys. . could someone point me in the right direction? i want to read about and discuss step work here on SR as i've just started step one in al-anon. however, it doesn't seem like there is anywhere for me to do that here? can i post in the AA or NA forums? sort of think they won't appreciate that. . .
there's gotta be somewhere for al-anon step support here, right?

This links to a step study we did and is now in the "Sticky" posts at the top of this forum.
Hope it is helpful.

thanks guys.
i'm looking for step by step discussion, like what they have for AA and NA at the top of the screen where you can just click on the logo of the steps, i.e. "step one" and it takes you to an entire page of threads about different people posting on step one or step two, etc.
the codependency part 14 seems good, but it is just one thread in a forum with many different types of groups and topics and people seem to be working many different steps in that group.
the sticky is organized step by step; however, there does not seem to be a current ongoing dialogue.
i am curious why al-non/nar-anon does not have a forum dedicated to each step with ongoing discussion the way AA & NA do. are there not enough of us doing it? i would love to talk with other people about specific steps and hear the ESH. would it be off-topic for me to start posting my experiences with step work here and if people want to join in they can?
thanks! N&D

I am inquiring to see if it is possible to set up a Step Study Sub forum like we have on AA and NA.
It may take time for those who know to get back to me, and I'll let you know when I know.

I think it's a good idea. Doing step work here and discussing the steps may help those who cannot attend meetings, and I know it would help me keep my program fresh too. Those steps saved my life, literally, but it took me a while to "get" what they meant and how they worked.
Cross your fingers, it may take a day or two before I hear back.

It appears our wish may be granted.
There may be just one sub-forum for FFA and FFSA (Al-anon and Nar-anon people), but the programs are the same so that will mean even more participation.
Stay tuned, it may be several days before they can get this on, and I'll keep you updated as I learn things.

Here ya go, bright shiny and new.
