Being in love = addiction
There's a program airing tonight on ABC about it Nightline Prime Secrets of Your Mind - ABC News.
It caught my attention this morning when I heard that being in love fires up the same part of the brain as addiction. They said it was just as addictive as cocaine but lasts longer.
With so many spouses and significant others here, I thought it might be of interest to some.

well...who watched the whole thing - i only got the last 20 min.
the hopeless romantic in me absolutely loved the story about the couple with the man who completely lost his memory.
the power of love can be pretty something. our job is to be able to discern what really is love, and choose more healthy love partners......right guys?

I watched the whole thing and have more questions than answers. Being 'in' love fires up a different part of the brain than being attached, and I understand how rekindled romance lights it up again. What I don't understand is how come both parts of the brain don't fire at the same time? If I could, I'd ask if it's impossible.
