probation violations
I just got a message on my cellphone from my son's father. Apparently he hasn't called for the last 3 months due to probation violations. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if he was in jail, couldn't he have called? I checked on the jail registrar and he is not listed as being in OR out OR recently released or anything like that. His name doesn't even come up.
The last thing we heard from him was 3 months ago when he said "see you Saturday..."
um. yeah.
Should have changed my g-damn phone number.

In most jails, they can call collect if they are calling a ground line phone. Calling a cell phone from jail requires that the cell phone user either sends the inmate a prepaid phone card or sets up an account with a service provider to provide for it.
Either way, I hope you don't contribute too much more of your thought to him. It sounds like you, and your son, deserve much better!

Has he never been in jail before? I can only say that when I was in jail, and everyone I've KNOWN in jail, has been able to send a letter. One county even gave us paper and stamps for 2 letters a week. The other jail, you could easily trade food (even jailhouse food) for a darned stamp.
IMO, if he'd wanted to find a way to contact you and A, he would have found it.
Let it go, ((Kitty)) - nothing changes if nothing changes and it doesn't sound like he's done any changing (at least not for the better).
You can STILL change your phone number, BTW.
Hugs and prayers!

HK - He's poison to you and your son. You don't deserve this, your sweet son doesn't deserve this. Cut him off and if he comes back in, make him work for it the right way. Don't take his bull$hit excuses anymore, he's full of it.
