OT Prayers for my niece
On Friday my niece was born in a military hospital in Honolulu Hawaii with a rare heart defect. Three of her valves are in the wrong place and she has a blockage in one of her arteries. Other then the heart defect she is a healthy baby.
Because the state of Hawaii does not have the facilities to care for my niece, she is being flown to Stanford Hospital in San Francisco California as I write this for open heart surgery. Her surgery will take place within the next 24 hours.
My sister has two other children that she and my brother in law will have to leave behind in Hawaii. Thankfully my mom was able to take a leave of absence from work on short notice and she is now in route to Hawaii to stay with my two nieces.
My sister's strength never ceases to amaze me. She had a baby at 7:30 am, was discharged from the hospital at 4 pm and between standing by the bedside of my newborn niece, taking care of her other two girls and making arrangements to fly to California, she has not slowed down one minute.
The Navy has been wonderful to my sister's family as well. The Navy actually granted my BIL temporary orders to San Fran so that he would not have to use up all of his leave time and they care taking care of all the flight arrangements to California.
I am a complete wreck. My sister and her family mean the world to me. I have no children of my own so her girls hold the keys to my heart.
My niece is stable and all of her vital signs are good. She is on a ventilator to help get oxygen through her blood to her heart but other then that she is doing well.
Please pray for a successful surgery and strength for my sister and her husband.

(((Jerect)))) -many, may prayers for your niece as well as the rest of the family. I'm so glad the Navy is taking excellent care of the family and that your mom can go take care of the other girls. Sounds like HP is covering all the bases.

Thank You all for your prayers.. My nieces surgery is scheduled for 5:00 pm PST this evening and should take about 5 hours. The Dr's have been very pleased so far with my Niece and don't anticipate any problems.
I will update after her surgery.
Thanks again SR family, you guys are the best
