Children and Recovery, I sure can relate. I had to learn to let go and let God. Asking for his guidence, giving me strength. Because I beleive and have faith he has put me in a place where I was at Peace. Dealing with my children and setting boundaries was not easy, but once I accomplish them it became easier. Your doing ok.

CHINO- just sending a little cyber support.
"Atta Girl " to you for putting yourself 1st

If we don't enforce the boundary it just keeps getting stretched and becomes meaningless. Not only is it right for us...but it is the law of cause + effect that we
must remind our loved ones of.

for what it's worth, i think the note was well-worded. you said exactly what you needed to, said it with love and respect, and kept to the point.

Chino, incidentally I loved the letter you wrote to your daughter.

It brought me to tears!

Thank you, that letter was me owning my issues as openly and honestly as I could. A long time ago I remember telling her if she wouldn't control her life I would, and that she really didn't want my undivided attention. Back then it was said as a threat but now it's an admission and I'm owning it, playing the tape through.

I remember my dad admitting to "feet of clay" when I was her age. More thanks going up to Dad, for showing me a way forward.
