Codepedent no more? Thanks to all...
I've been reading and reading these posts. I'm so grateful for the recommendation of this book by Melody Beattie. I'd read back in the mid 90's, and the book was suggested to me while ABF was in rehab. I'm reading that thing again and I see where I went wrong, how we fumble putting boundaries in place. He's deceased now, and in a better place, and I'm thankful to everyone who promotes this book. It has brought enlightenment to my life on more than two occasions. I believe everyone should own this book.
The book is "Codependent No More" by Melody Beattie.
She also wrote Language of Letting Go, daily readings that I post here periodically (with her blessing).
I can't say enough good things about how much this author and her books helped me. She writes as someone who is a recovering addict (many many years sobriety), who grew up in an alcoholic home, and who married two? alcoholics as well and who brought codependency to the attention of the world.
Well worth the read.
Hugs

Available at Amazon at a very reasonable price. I would suggest check your local library, but buying one, for one's self seems to work better. I hate to tell you how much my copy is 'marked up', and 'highlighted' to the MAX, but has been quite an asset in my life.
Love and hugs,
