Teach has a point. We shall call this child Guido perhaps. Nobody messes with a guy names Guido.

I *like* Guido!
No one messes with Guido!
(Of course, until he's big enough,
he's got all his SR aunties and uncles to watch over him,
Let alone one tough great grammy!)

And, Ann....
Just where did you find that mug???
It's AWESOME!!!!

Shalom!

Isn't Ann not only clever, unique, but funny too! Googled Dev's name, indeed. If you asked my son what comes up when you google my name, he'd say "Pit Bull!" lol

I love that CUP. Are you sending it to me along with the bamboo diapers?

Speaking of a girl name Sue. Does anyone remember the story of when my son got expelled from Catechism? Well it seems the nun was telling the story of Adam and Eve. She asked, "does anyone know what Adam said to Eve when they met in the Garden of Eden?"

My son raised his hand, and as the Nun explained to me, she was very excited to see him finally participate in the class discussion, so, of course, she called on him. She asked the question and he replied, "He tapped Eve on the shoulder and said, "how do you do, my name is Sue!"

I did have a laugh at that, to which the nun replied "I can see why the child is the way he is!" Whatever that meant!! Can't help it if she didn't have a sense of humor!

I did suggest Guido, but she didn't go for it. I'm too afraid to ask if she finally settled on a name! I named my son John because I thought it was such a strong name. My son hates the name. He says any mother who would name their kid after a "toliet" should be flogged! Please!!

My son's X wife gave their boy what I consider a terrible name. I told her at that time I hope he grows up to be at least 6'4 and strong! Well, today he is 18 years old and is 6' 4" and 220 lbs! Gee, I should have wished for lottery numbers!

Hugs, Great Grammy Dev

So, Dev.....
What's his name????
The grandson first....
Then the great grandson!

That *is* a funny story about your son!
I can't believe that nun didn't have even *that* much of a sense of humor!
Geeze Louise!
My aunt is a nun, and she would have peed her pants laughing at that, years ago, when your son did it! LOL! (Probably even today; maybe moreso today! LOL!)

Oh, and yes, I *do* agree about Ann!
She's a "hot ticket," as my grandpa used to say!
(All in a good way!)

Shalom!

The boy's name, my grandson, is Oakley!! I think the granddaughter named the baby
Gage??? YIPES, what the heck is that kind of a name. Oh well, what's a name anyway?

Your aunt must have been one of those special type of nuns. Yipes, when I was a kind they were the Nuns with the big habits, Sister's of Mercy, I think. They were so mean!!
I got slapped every day because in the class we would embroider and I would, invariably, sew the thing to my dress, so each day it would have to be cut off, and I never did make any progress. LOL

Hugs, Dev

Dev,
My aunt *is* a Sister of Mercy!!!

(But, when she joined in the late '60s,
They had to promise to be merciful!
Cuz, *I* had those wicked sisters in school, too! )

Gage.
I've had a student named Gage, Dev.
He was a fine young man; Tall, smart and willing to apply himself.
If your Gage takes after his namesake, (that *I'm* aware of anyway),
he'll do just fine in this world,
and you'll be very, very proud of him.

Love you, Dev.... :>)

Shalom!

Thanks teach, nice to know others with that name went before him.

Oh, no, a aunt that was a Sister of Mercy!! LOL In my day they should have referred to them as Sister of NO Mercy! I cannot believe how many times I got slapped for turning around in church!

The priest, however, was a Franciscan Father and was such a wonderful man! He was so good to us kids. Probably the only reason I made it to Catechism!

Now that I've gotten use to the name, Gage, she'll probably have changed it to something else.

I do think they have to name the child before it leaves the hospital right? When I was born, my mom and dad couldn't agree on a name, or anything else for that matter LOL, so they didn't name me. When I went to get a passport, they insisted my name had to be "Baby" on it.

So, from that time forward I have been known as Baby!! It's kind of fun 'cause being a "hunk magnet" when a guy asked my name I just tell him call me "baby!" LOL

Hugs, Dev aka Baby
