Serenity Bound

AD decided to drop by today, to hang out at my house. You see you can only be at the shelter at night. Well, little did she know, I had taken a vacation day off and was home!!!

After stewing for about 1/2 hr (while cleaning a bathroom...I really clean well when I'm angry )

I told AD that in the future she needs to find somewhere else to hang!

Cause hanging out is one of the things that really annoy me.

Within 10 minutes, she was gone. She did say she loved me, and I told her I loved her also.

Thank you guys for always being there and giving me input & strength.

Well done. I've said it before and I'll say it again because it's something I need to remember myself...WE are not their only option.

When I used to get upset because my son was on the street or in a shelter or anywhere that made me nervous, I would remind myself that he had choices and knew where help was when he was ready.

It sounds like it ended well, that just shows that we can detach with love.

Funny I clean like a crazy woman when I am mad too. !!!!! One question. If she didn't know you were going to be home how was she getting into your house? My AD has stolen so much from me and I would never be in my house alone.

painter, I remembered to ask for the cell phone back, but forgot about the key.

Funny as I think about AD, it is clear to me that she's trying the poor me story....oooh I'm sleeping in a shelter....poor me.....I'm going to be cold this winter....poor me

It's a good lesson for ME, remembering SHE made her choice.

Hmmmmm....do you suppose your AD and my A stepson plan their conversations together before contacting us? It is a good lesson, and one that we have to keep in mind every day!
