I Had a bestfriend and biz partner that got into drugs and a bad relationship. i.e. we had a falling out. 2 years have gone by I hear he's gotten help and I too have forgiven the past. After 2 years of never seeing him .....This past summer I have run into him 7 times but not close enough to actually talk. It seems weird and more like the world is trying to connect us again....or am I just losing my marbles

Careful. Hate to be a cynic.... but perhaps the world is just testing you. Whatever happens, please take care of you and forgiveness is a good thing, but not forgetfulness.

Ever hear that saying, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me"?

There are plenty of people in this world I have forgiven, but certainly haven't forgotten what happened, and I am very careful who I let into my life.

So you've 'heard' he's gotten help. Take it for what it is-3rd party talk.

As has already been suggested, be careful.

please Don't confuse my being nice for being naive. I too am extremely
guarded. I will not be disillusioned by someones misleading or gossip.
He was my bestfriend at on time.I always used to tell him and promised you that no matter what life brings us I would never quit on him.
