Update from lil' ol' bookmiser
I just wanted to say hello and let everyone know I'm fine. I have missed being here so much this past year. I rarely get an opportunity to stop in anymore. My life is alot different now. I left the man I was married to for 10 years, last may, to become involved with a man who was my bf at age 16. This did not affect my relationship with my ras, as he did not get along well with my husband. So son is doing okay. Still with elderly gf, lol, for those of you who remember. Still taking meds for bi-polar disorder, (only diagnosed by family doctor) and continues to smoke weed and not work. Living in the boonies has its advantages and disadvantages, I guess. I have long since given up trying to put a foot up his arse to get him to move forward. He does, however, continue to mature. I do see that much. But he's still locked in his world and I continue to love him regardless. I hope everyone is doing well. I miss and love you all still. You helped me so much when I was in the throes of codependency. I wanna say thank you to all who was there for me.
Will try to get on more often and to update about this odd relationship I have found myself in with an old rekindled love. It's like a friggin' soap opera really. But I am more happy now than I've ever been. So I guess that's something.
Love you guys and will hopefully talk with you all again real soon.

Well Bookie you 'ole wild cat you! Sounds like you have been very busy in your neck of the woods.
Its nice to hear from you, and even nicer to hear that you are happy.
PS...I expect you to be rooting for a former "hometown" team this weekend...*hint*hint*

Hey there Book!! It's wonderful to hear from you and I'm so happy to hear you are well and have found a 'new love' in your former teenage bf! How romantic is that? I wish you all the best and look forward to seeing you drop by again when you are able!
So son is doing okay. Still with elderly gf, lol, for those of you who remember.
I forgot about her and that just cracked me up. Good to see you today, and I can't wait to hear about the new old relationship.
Big Huge Codie Sized Hugs
Book!!!! :ghug3
I'm soooo happy to see you! I was thinkin' about you just the other day and wondering if you would ever check in again.
Wow, life sounds interesting for you...I'm so glad you are happy!! Are you still living in the same area you were? I'm glad your son is at least maturing. I guess the elderly girlfriend does that for him, lol. Have you chased any more folks out of your house in their underwear, lol??
How is your daughter? Is she still in PA...Missed ya, kiddo - so glad to hear you are well. Hugs

Hello Bookmiser
So good to read your update. I'm not around too much anymore either, but love to pop in once in a while to catch up.
I, also, let go a while back and things are going pretty well with me and mine too.
I do think there comes a time when they realize that life is passing them by and try to straighten up. That's all we can ask for right? Who cares who they live with or what the person looks like, as long as they are living a decent life.
Anyway, great hearing from you and happy that you sound so well. I do remember a time when we were both just a short putt from the edge! LOL
Thank goodness for all the help and patience of our SR family!
Hugs, Devastated

Seeker,
Yes. It has been an amazing year for me. I continue to amaze myself with strength and courage. Things I never would have faced a few years ago. I'm thinkin' about writing a book about reuniting with old flames, but the research would take time away from my hectic schedule right now. Thanks for the welcome back. I missed everyone so much.
Hope to be able to stop in more often now that the newness has worn down. Not!!!

Yeah, Dev, that short putt almost costed me my sanity. Thank God I was able to learn so much here and just let go, ya know? AS has been blessed to have found egf. It takes so much patience and commitment from her. I really admire her for that. Less work for me. lol
I'm glad your well, sweetness, and I hope we get to talk more often now that I'm able to drop in more often.
Hugs and prayers to you and yours,

Marle,
I missed you so much, woman. It was so good to read your updates on Megan. I'm glad things are on a good path for her. Hope your taking good care of you and finding time to enjoy your life more. I know I am. It was so hard to do that for so long, ya know? I'm so glad we're both at a good place in our lives and our adult children can benefit from our strength and our stability to move forward by practicing "one day at a time". They've learned alot more from us than I think we give ourselves credit for.
Hugs and prayers out for you and your daughter.
