Totally OT...Old Faithful

...but I need to think about something ELSE for a minute or two...did you all know there's a live web cam of Old Faithful on the Yellowstone Park website? I got to watch it erupt against the sunset a little while ago, and it made me really forget everything else going on for just a couple of minutes :)

We used to go on an extended vacation every other year when I was growing up. My favorite one was the trip to Yellowstone. It's pretty amazing to watch Old Faithful!

We really want to go, but are waiting till our youngest is just a little older, so that the other plane passengers don't kill us on the flight there :c032: I love her with all my heart, but even I don't want to be on a long flight with a crazy 4 year old! I don't even want to be on a short flight with her!

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings.
Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.
The winds will blow their own freshness into you...
while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.

~ John Muir

Thanks for sharing Daisy. I'll have to surf around and see what other awe inspiring webcams are out there :)

I'm glad you enjoyed it :) There's other gysers on there, too.

Thanks I needed a break too.

Now I'm going to plant those damned rose bushes (well, 11 of them anyway...hole #12 was when M hit the gas line!) and take the kids to "World Turtle Day" at the environmental education center...I'm looking forward to a whole weekend worth of "breaks"! Hope everyone has a nice long weekend :ring

Daisy09 05-23-2009 04:26 PM

Well, I got 6 out of 11 roses planted and had a really good time at Turtle Day! Tomorrow: church, Dim Sum, 5 more roses and a trip to the Playland (a small time amusement park nearby geared towards the under-10 crowd.) I do miss M, but I'm thoroughly enjoying my "stay-cation" weekend with the girls. Hope everyone does at least one fun thing this weekend.
